We are excited to share the news! Renovation to the Save the Cats Arizona Sanctuary has begun!
Last fall, we asked our supporters to help us get a new roof for the sanctuary. You might remember these photos:
This spring, we are excited to announce that the renovation has begun! We have an animal loving contractor, who showed us some really great ideas to make the sanctuary more sustainable, as well as more comfortable for the feline residents. Additionally, the roof is being raised from 4.5 ft. to over 6 ft. in height. (This is really great news for members of the STCAZ volunteer team who are tall!) But best of all, the new roof will not keep the elements out, thus keeping the kitties safe!
Speaking of our volunteers- they are doing a great amount of the demolition and dirty work for this major undertaking. We appreciate their willingness to spend every weekend rolling up their sleeves and digging in. We’re also very appreciative of the cat caregivers who lovingly spend extra time with the sanctuary cats, making sure that they remain calm during all the commotion.
This renovation is only possible thanks to the generosity of volunteers and supporters. A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who supports STCAZ and helps give these cats a chance at a happy life. Thank you for donating your time, your money, your energy, and your kindness. Thank you for sharing our mission with others and thank you for advocating & educating. We always say, ‘it takes a village’, and we are so grateful to have such a awesome group of individuals sharing our mission!
